Talk to your team leader

Contact your team leader and ensure that,

1. Your Hardware SOS setting is turned on in the SafeTeam administration website

2. Your phone model supports the SafeTeam Hardware SOS

Disable Google Assistant Quick Launch

If you have enabled Hardware SOS for SafeTeam, you must ensure that no other actions are bound to the device power button of your phone, they may interfere with Hardware SOS normal operation. Some Android phones, including the ‘Motorola One Macro’, will use the power button to trigger certain features, like Google Assistant.

To disable Motorola’s Google Assistant power button trigger, follow the steps below,

1. Open the Settings app by tapping the Settings icon

2. Navigate to System and then Gestures

3. Tap Double-press power key, then select None from the dialog

4. Test Hardware SOS to ensure no interference from the double click gesture

Disable Camera Quick Launch

If you have enabled Hardware SOS for SafeTeam, you must ensure that no other actions are bound to the device power button of your phone, they may interfere with Hardware SOS normal operation. Some Android phones show the camera when tapping the power button.

The setting(s) may appear in a different place depending on your version of Android and your phone model. Upgrading your Android version may reset the settings, so always check the settings after upgrading Android.

Please check these common locations and disable the setting.

Disable Android Emergency Settings

If you have enabled Hardware SOS for SafeTeam, you must ensure that no other actions are bound to the device power button of your phone, they may interfere with Hardware SOS normal operation. Some phones running Android 12 and above start a call to 999 when tapping the power button.
